The theme of the webinar was CA Plex/2E Roadmap and IBM i Web Services.
First, CA Technologies/Broadcom Principle Product Manager Dheeraj Pershad Arun discussed the results of the CA Plex and CA 2E “$100 Bill” feature voting at the Ft. Lauderdale developers conference. He also discussed the CA 2E refresh pack and other aspects of the product roadmaps.
Next, CA Technologies/Broadcom Principle Architect Arun Painuly demonstrated and discussed CA Plex Java security feature in a Lightning talk.
Last, CM First engineers Mark Schroeder and Andrew Leggett held lightning talks on 2E and Plex focused Web Services.
CA 2E
Web Services are becoming increasingly important for the 2E shop. In the lightning talk, Mark demonstrated the process using IBM tools to deploy Web Services generated from 2E, or developed manually. He then discussed automation of this deployment as part of a DevOps process.
CA Plex
Andrew demonstrated how a native JavaScript application can interface with Plex back-end processes to create a simple Order Processing application with dashboard functionality.
