CM First Expands Partnership with CA Technologies

On June 25th, 2012, CA extended its global channel partner program to include many of the products in its mainframe software portfolio. CM First is pleased to announce that they have joined CA Technologies’ enhanced channel program as a primary partner for North America and Europe. CA has long operated a global partner program for software resellers and recently re-launched this part of their business with an increased emphasis on enabling partners to directly develop and manage relationships with customers. With the new program, CA mainframe and distributed customers will be able to do business directly with organizations such as CM First, which specializes on CA’s portfolio of application development solutions.
CM First expands partnership with CA Technologies to serve the needs of the IBM Power iOS and IBM mainframe zOS application development markets.
CM First has had a long history with sales and services of CA’s suite of Model Based Application Development tools, such as CA 2E (Synon) and CA Plex. They have also recently expanded their focus to CA’s enterprise metadata repositories for both mainframe and distributed environments. According to Christoph Heinrich, CM First Group’s CEO, the new partner program is part of the evolution of their relationship with CA. “We have had a relationship with CA products that going back over many years. We are already closely aligned with their technology and services partner programs in EMEA and the U.S., and we see this recent development as a logical move to better serve our customer base. Many of our enterprise customers have application development needs that span multiple mainframe and midrange platforms “
John Rhodes from CM First feels there is a significant benefit to companies doing business with Value Added Resellers. “We believe that the end result for the customer will be improved responsiveness and ability to better support CA’s products in the field.
