Strategic Modernization

CM First offers deep consulting expertise to help companies move to modern development platforms, service-oriented and Architected Rapid Applications Development, web and mobile technologies, and packaged business applications. We focus on staying within budget and project timeline while delivering modernized solutions to satisfy our customers’ business needs.

We start by helping customers assess their legacy code bases. Using our CM evolveIT technology, we analyze and document the current system. We analyze the relationships between programs, expose business logic and extract business rules, and document applications graphically, enabling all users to easily navigate and understand the system. CM First supports the following approaches to legacy renewal:

  • Application rewrites
  • Replace custom developed solutions with packaged applications
  • Web and mobile interfaces
  • Services integration
  • Code migrations/conversions
  • Application re-hosting
  • Development tool and platform updates
  • Shifts to Agile methodologies and automated deployment
